Attorney Scott Hughes of the Law Offices of Scott D. Hughes has been included among the Honorary Board of Governors for his annual contributions to the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers' Charities. The organization strives to make a positive impact in the lives of those in the greater Los Angeles area, focusing on those issues related to education, children, battered women, and homelessness.

LATLC was established in 2006 by several injury attorneys practicing with L.A. area and has grown to over 1,800 supporters. The LATLC partners with other organizations to further its ideals including the March of Dimes, Clare Foundation, Los Angeles Mission, St Baldrick's Foundation, and a host of others.
